[+] Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to create an all-new haunted houses inspired by his record-breaking 'After Hours' album. Universal Studios Fear fans are getting the opportunity to step into The Weeknd’s nightmarish vision this Halloween. The acclaimed artist and producer has teamed up with the creatives at the Universal Studios theme parks in Los Angeles and Orlando to realize The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare , a haunted house inspired by select tracks from his similarly titled record-breaking album. It’s part of the wildly popular annual Halloween Horror Nights event. As guests make their way through the seasonal attraction, they’ll be immersed in a nightmarish and surreal world soundtracked and inspired by The Weeknd’s fourth consecutive number one album and some of the multi-award-winning artist’s short films. Park officials warn that those brave enough to enter will be “stalked by slashers, bandaged maniacs, gruesome toad-like creatures and other unfathomable horrors from the mind of the artist. ” The question is, will they be able to escape his creations? “I always wanted my own Halloween Horror Nights haunted house as Halloween has always been significant to my music, so this is a total dream come to life,” Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye said in a statement. “I feel like my music videos have served as a launching pad for a collaboration like this, and I cannot wait for people to experience this madness. ” The Weeknd is not the first music artist to have their tunes turned into a terrifying reality at Halloween Horror Nights. He follows in the footsteps of Alice Cooper. Once again this year, Slash provides the soundtrack for one of the haunted houses. The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare is the latest seasonal attraction to be announced for the separately ticketed nighttime event. Formerly referred to as mazes, haunted houses that have already been confirmed include The Horrors of Blumhouse , which combines two of the studio’s most visceral visions: The Black Phone and Freaky . Additionally, Dracula, The Mummy, and The Wolf Man bring the screams in Universal Monsters: Legends Collide , and Michael Myers will slay in a haunted house inspired by the original 1978 movie, Halloween . The Universal Studios Hollywood event kicks off on Thursday, September 8, 2022, but the nightmare begins a few days earlier at Universal Orlando Resort .
