Yesterday’s was pretty tricky .
Today’s is a bit easier, though not the easiest one I’ve seen by far. I almost didn’t get yesterday’s correct thanks to a couple of dumb mistakes on my part. Today I fared much better, turning bad luck into good.
That’s a handy skill if you can master it (or muster it). Turning bad luck into good is, in essence, ridding the equation of luck entirely. Luck is all about throwing things off-kilter.
If you can find balance you can have a bit more control over your circumstances. In any case, let’s take a look at today’s Wordle! Today’s Wordle #431 Answer, Hint & Clues Yes, once again there are spoilers ahead. Such is the nature of a Wordle guide! The Hint: Not a good way to be in any relationship.
The Clue: There’s a double vowel in this word. The Answer: What do you think? One Community, Many Voices. Be the first to comment comments posted on Forbes.

Grief— that ravenous hound—was terribly unlucky, leaving me with 506 options, by far the worst since I’ve been using Wordle Bot to analyze my guessing game. I should have gone with the new best starting word ! Elbow only narrowed things down to 191, which is higher than most of my first guesses on a normal day. But before I could grieve this grievous guess I popped teams into the equation.
At last, a green box! Alas, still just one letter—the letter ‘E. ’ I didn’t know it at the time, but I was down to just 9 remaining possibilities, which is still quite a few. I tried, unsuccessfully, to come up with words that included ‘U’ such as cruel (nope, the ‘L’ was out) or gruel (nope, the ‘G’ was eliminated).
Once I gave up on the ‘U’ I thought the word probably had a double ‘E’. It seemed unlikely that one ‘E’ would do the trick. So I guessed needy and was honestly very surprised to be correct.
I went from one singular green box to five just like that. With 9 options remaining, I definitely turned bad luck into good. The other choices available to me at this point were: Venue Pence Hence Penne Deuce Penny Peeve Peppy As you can see, my double ‘E’ theory was a good one.
Of the 9 remaining options, 4 had double E’s and one had a triple E. Two had the letter ‘U’ and one used a triple ‘P. ’ I got very lucky with needy! Happy Wednesday, Wordle Warriors! Follow me on this blog for all your daily Wordles, game coverage and TV and movie reviews.
