It’s still the dead of winter, but we’re finally getting some less-wintery temperatures, with highs in the low 50s—which is basically summertime compared to all the below-freezing weather we’ve been having.
I thought we’d kick things off today with a bit of history. Specifically, two famous people born on this day long ago: American Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks poses as she works as a seamstress, shortly after the . .

. . Today's Wordle Credit: Erik Kain This was actually kind of a tricky Wordle today.
In fact, it was so tricky that I thought for sure I had at least tied Wordle Bot. Alas, the fiendish AI got today’s in just three (with a heaping pile of luck, quite frankly). Tread got me down to 143 remaining solutions, which isn’t terrible but isn’t great, either.
Stout shaved that down to just seven. Still, seven is a lot and my next guess, quilt —however marvelous—only cut that number to 1. From here it took me a while to come up with the final answer.
Unlit is just one of those odd words you don’t think about much. It’s not that it’s archaic or uncommon. You just usually here lit or dark.
Rarely unlit. Oh well. That’s zero points for 4 guesses and -1 for losing to the Bot, for a grand total of -1.
