Dominic Hogan Host commentator 20:23 37' Arsenal's turn to defend in numbers Arsenal have had 69% of the ball but just the one shot - which will be music to Everton's ears. Starting to take on a similar look to the reverse fixture now, with Everton looking more than content to soak up the pressure and bite back on the odd occasion they're allowed the ball.
The Toffees have enjoyed a little spell on the ball, but Arsenal prove why they have one of the meanest defences in the league by forcing the danger back into safer waters in the middle of the pitch. Everton's Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko (R) vies with Arsenal's Bukayo Saka 20:20 34' Arsenal trying to pick the lock Any concerns of a dreaded injury seem to be a bit more distant now for Saka, after a series of short sharp sprints prove he'll be alright to continue in this one. Zinchenko is the latest to try and pick the Evertonian lock with a clever, cutting pass, but Keane is there to clear the danger.
Arsenal are prodding and prying at that visiting back line, but do seem content to try and wear them down rather than blast through the defence. 20:18 31' A painful one for Saka Arsenal moving the ball a little quicker now from side to side in a bid to break through, and a raking switched ball from Jorginho suddenly leaves Everton exposed at the back and Tarkowski is forced to concede a throw in. The ball comes out to the right flank and once more Saka is pounced on by a pair of blue shirts, and the England star is unable to work any more magic.
He looks to have picked up a bit of a knock and is walking a little tentatively, but seems alright for now. 20:16 29' Good challenge from Gabriel The crowd - perhaps sensing their side need a bit of encouragement - jump back into life after a quiet spell. But rather than force a chance for the Gunners, it's Everton who profit and counter after a stray ball.
Maupay draws a good challenge from Gabriel in the box, and the danger is eventually snuffed out. 20:13 26' Trossard takes a tumble Trossard takes a tumble right in front of the linesman after perceived contact from Tarkowski, but the Belgian looked to have simply slipped as he tried to reach for the ball. Nothing given, and Tarkowski is not too pleased with the Arsenal forward's histrionics.
Arsenal do keep coming, though, and the Toffees are forming up in those trademark Sean Dyche banks of four to repel them. 20:10 24' Onana down in a heap Arsenal look to be building another counter, but Michael Oliver calls a halt to proceedings after Onana goes down following an elbow from Xhaka. No hint of deliberate play, but doesn't make it any less painful for the midfielder! He'll get a bit of treatment now as the game takes a slight pause.
Maupay is already arguing with some Arsenal players - he does have history with the Gunners. 20:08 22' Martinelli dawdles in the box McNeil swings the ball into the middle, but it's headed clear and the Arsenal forwards fly clear. Martinelli is on the ball inside the box, but rather than release the ball to Trossard to his right, he takes on Iwobi and is forced out of play after some good defensive play from Iwobi.
Wasteful from the Gunners. 20:07 20' Corner to Everton Once again, Arsenal play themselves into a little bit of a pickle, and some hard work from Iwobi earns Everton a corner. 20:06 19' Visitors holding firm under pressure The game is veering more and more Arsenal's way as they enjoy a sustained period of possession.
But credit to Everton, they're not going anywhere fast and the blue wall forces Jorginho into a slightly too ambitious pass and the visitors win a goal kick. Arsenal's Bukayo Saka (L) in action with Everton's Vitaliy Mykolenko (R) in action 20:03 16' First show of class from Saka First real show of those fast feet from Saka as he links up with Odegaard in a tight space to take out three Everton players and get a cross in, but the flag goes up. Mykolenko will be mightily pleased - Saka sent the left-back to the shops inside his own box.
20:02 15' Maupay can't get through Iwobi bamboozles Zinchenko with a drop of the shoulder and makes for the corner flag, but the ex-Arsenal man's progress is halted before he can get a ball in. White now returns an Everton clearance, bringing it up the field before laying off to Saka, before the ball finds itself out on the other flank. Everton win it back and look to get forward, but every time Maupay gets on the ball there's at least one Arsenal shirt barring his way, and once more he is sent backwards rather than forwards.
19:58 12' Another corner to the hosts Arsenal have another corner, and this time it's played straight to Jorginho, but once again his long-range strike is poor and Everton can counter. Doucoure carries it up the pitch, but Maupay's touch is loose and Arsenal can recover. Both teams snapping up any opportunity to fly up the pitch at pace and it's been a great game for the neutrals so far.
Arsenal's Italian midfielder Jorginho (L) vies with Everton's French striker Neal Maupay 19:55 9' An end-to-end last few minutes Maupay has a strike for the visitors which was verging on the speculative territory, but there was plenty of venom in it on the turn unchecked on the edge of the box. Arsenal play themselves into a bit of trouble on their way out of defence, but press the visitors all the way back to Pickford. The England No 1 then gives it straight to Odegaard, but Arsenal are quickly pickpocketed themselves, resulting in a flicked effort from Maupay on goal after Onana carries up the pitch.
End-to-end stuff, but Everton have to do better if they're to challenge the Gunners tonight - they were three-on-two there and Maupay wasted the opportunity. 19:52 6' Training ground corner routine It's sent in by Saka to the front past on the ground where Zinchenko has made a smart run. The Ukrainian nudges it back to Jorginho on the edge of the box, but the Italian can't quite get the same contact he managed late on against Villa.
One from the training ground, though, that move. 19:51 5' Early corner to the hosts There is an enormous roar to greet the home side's first real counter, and it earns the Gunners an early corner. 19:50 3' Tense start Unsurprisingly the Gunners have settled into a bit of possession, but Maupay snatches it back in his own half and wins his side a bit of territory.
Cagey start from both sides, with a few tasty challenges going both ways. 19:47 1' Kick-off With Arsenal's latest anthem ringing out - the jury's still out on "North London Forever" - the visitors get us underway via Neal Maupay, who is a very unpopular man here at the Emirates. 19:44 Big atmosphere at the Emirates The two teams are in the tunnel now as they prepare to come out, with choruses of "Arsenal, Arsenal" ringing out from the home side supporters.
As they take their places though in front of the Premier League advertising boards, there are a few shouts from the travelling fans that can be heard, but it's a very loud and proud support for the north London side tonight. Just a few seconds away from kick-off now! 19:41 Everton's poor record on the road against leagues leaders Another slightly damning fact for the visitors tonight - they've never actually beaten a side starting the day in top spot on the road in the Premier League. In 24 attempts, they've only avoided defeat five times with 19 losses on the road to the leaders.
The last time they did overcome the side in top spot was before the league was started in 1992-93, when they beat Wimbledon 2-1 in September 1986 - most of the players out there won't even have been born back then! Links with Declan Rice are still circling the north London club - but who else could the Spaniard have his eye on? Take a look at the link below. Arteta 'wants four new players' with £80m Rice his top target Mikel Arteta will look to bolster his Arsenal side ahead of their expected return to the Champions League next season.
West Ham star Declan Rice is the Gunners' top target this summer. Mail Online 19:23 Three points would be 'vital' for Arsenal Bukayo Saka has had yet another stunning season at the head of this Arsenal title charge, and he's been speaking to BBC ahead of the game. 'We've won a couple of games in a row, we intend to make that three tonight,' the starlet said.
'Tonight is a great opportunity to get three points which would be vital for us. ' On how Everton will shape up (before they were released): 'If I knew I'd be very happy. We'll be ready.
We can prepare better when we see their line-up. 'All we can do is focus on what we can control. We can't control the future.
' Ben Godfrey of Everton before the Premier League match between Arsenal and Everton Amadou Onana of Everton before the Premier League match between Arsenal and Everton 19:18 There's plenty at stake at both ends of the table A win tonight and the Gunners go five clear level on games. A loss here, and things could get very, very tight at the top once again. As we said a few minutes ago, Arsenal have a very strong record historically against Everton.
In fact, a win tonight could see them break a record for wins against a particular team, with Arteta's side just one short of a century of wins over Everton. No team in league history in England has ever managed to rack up triple figures over one side, but could tonight be the night for the north London side? With Everton winning just one of their last 26 trips to Arsenal, the numbers would suggest so, but then not many predicted that fabulous 1-0 win for Sean Dyche and Co last time out, did they? He said: 'We have to match them and go beyond what they offer and take the game on. ' On choosing Michael Keane over Conor Coady: 'Fine lines of getting a performance out of them, three games in a week.

He told BBC Sport: 'There were some close calls [in the team selection].
We have a really good balance in the team. We have many options to change during the game. 'We want to be as high as possible in the table and tonight we have a really good opportunities.
'We will have to be at a really good level today to beat this team. ' Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says his team have to be at a 'good level' to beat Everton tonight Conor Coady (L) Demarai Gray, Dwight McNeil, Alex Iwobi and James Tarkowski of Everton 19:03 Form guide heading into this one Well, we mentioned Everton's form against Arsenal a few moments ago - but that's just about the only form that they do have right now. Just two wins in their last 10 - against Arsenal and Leeds - leaving Everton stuck in 18th spot ahead of the game tonight, and a point from safety with Leeds just above them in 17th.
There have been a few draws in there, notably a 1-1 tie against Manchester City, but defeats to Bournemouth, Southampton, Wolves and West Ham will have cut deep. For the Gunners, things actually don't make for much better reading, as the leaders come into the game off the back of a poor spell of their own. Five wins from the last 10, but only two victories from six games including that loss at Goodison on February 4, and Mikel Arteta's side are in dire need of a win tonight in their game in hand over Man City.

But their actions have come in for criticism from Gary Neville, who claimed that the signs of desperation halfway through a title race are 'not a good thing'. For more on that, click the link below.
Gary Neville insists Arsenal are 'too emotional' to win the title Arsenal showed tremendous spirit to fight back from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-2 last week, but Neville feels Arsenal's celebrations after the game showed signs of weakness in their camp. Mail Online 18:50 Arsenal unchanged, one fresh face for the Toffees So no changes from Mikel Arteta, as he sticks with the team that beat Leicester 1-0 on the road on Saturday, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli set to oscillate in that central role once more. And only the one change for Sean Dyche, with Michael Keane coming in for Conor Coady at the back, with the Toffees looking to make it a Premier League double over the Gunners in less than a month.
