Sony has today announced the Gray Camouflage Collection for its PS5 console, DualSense controller, and the Pulse 3D headset. The new design for the system's swappable Covers sports a grey colour in a camo pattern that runs from one side all the way to the other. The same goes for the plastic strap holding together the Pulse 3D headset and the finish all over the PS5 pad. "Infused with unique patterns of the iconic PlayStation Shapes, this brand-new camo design restyles the DualSense wireless controller, PULSE 3D wireless headset, and the console covers for the PS5 console and PS5 Digital Edition console," the YouTube description reads. If you want to get your hands on them, pre-orders begin on 15th September 2022 ahead of a release on 14th October 2022 The products will go live on the PlayStation Direct website for the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. That's for the PS5 Console Covers and the new DualSense controller, while the Pulse 3D headset will be available in grey in December. What do you make of this new design? I'm not a fan of that colour scheme. I don't like it at all actually. I'd love to be able to order the regular black plates where I live though. Not available in my country yet. "Yeah we know yall want a Showcase/Event BUT. . . . how about more Controller/Plate colours instead and TV Shows!!" Sorry lads but that's ugly as **** This design will speak to people aged 10 years and under ???? I think the controller and headset look pretty good, but camo covers on the console look terrible. Honestly, it's pretty ugly. ???? But look on the bright side. At least Sony is thinking about stuff like this! Hopefully the next one will be a bit more creative. Like maybe do some special covers for God of War when it gets closer to launch. Now Sony just need one with a marajuana leaf on it and they have the whole market covered. . . . Maybe a garish gold too?? Have we time traveled back to 2008. People don't still like this do they? Strange we still have no official service to print and order any image / pattern on the playstation panels. Horrid. White is great. Not a camo guy at all but doesn't look that bad to me. I could see the appeal if I were into that, or, basically if I played CoD. I'm just hoping/waiting for game-themed covers. That's the only thing that doesn't look tacky on a console imo. I am not hunting (or being hunted) in my home. I got my cheap no name "Made in China" black cover on Amazon (fit like a glove) and done till PS6. Don't you mean grey? I love this design! Not the biggest fan of camo, but this is cool. My coworker who was in the army puts camo on everything though lol. I'm upset though. I should have bought the purple one when I had the chance. They're sold out on Sony's website. Purple electronics are the best lol. the console is disgusting. one of the worst covers ive seen. controller not as bad I see a lot of confused comments here about this design decision. As an American, allow me to explain. A lot of people here are gun obsessed weirdos who wear camo and several guns everyday when they like shop for groceries and spend the entire shopping trip fantasizing about an opportunity to use their guns on a bad guy robbing the store. It's very scary. Also dumb because camo stands out in an urban setting. Looks nice, and I love the color grey! I'll pre-order the controller and order the Starlight blue one, then I'll have all of the Dualsense controllers! @RBRTMNZ a lot of gun nuts in America then ???????? Absolute garbage. Can't even get colors right at this point. ???? Imagine this being the next choice with all the other colors that could have been chosen. My console is already camouflaged, it's do damn ugly it's hidden behind the TV. My ocd is not as bad when mixing up the DualSense colors a bit. Wouldn't mind the light blue one next to go with my all black, cosmic red and standard black and white. It be nice if they did official matching charging dock colors for those with massive ocd issues ha. The DualSense Edge is gonna take many a youtube vids to convince me of its worth and it's price of course They went through the trouble of putting the little circle-square-triangle-cross icons on the thing (in the light grey area), but don't actually include any photos where it's clear that's what they did. It's a painfully bad marketing job. Pause the video about 5 seconds in, and you'll see what I'm talking about. That kind of saves the design for me - I'm interested. Not enough interested to buy the plates, which seem like they cost double what they ought to cost, and not enough interested to go hunting for this controller, specifically - but if it's on sale when I need a new controller, I'd grab this one. I don’t think it looks that bad. It’s not my colour of choice but it isn’t completely unfortunate-looking. Well that’s utterly gross. Guess it fits if you’re a gun-toting psychopath. It has a different look but I think the controller has a good colour, similar to the DS4 controllers colour. I dont understand the hate towards the PS5 it looks fantastic in white to me only swapped my white controller day one for a black one otherwise it will get disgusting. Looked at it does not look that bad it looks cool but i love my white console. @Beerheadgamer82 I bought shiny black vinyl and just covered my official dualsense charging cradle, looks alright Looks bloody awful - even the white looks better than that and that's saying something! Surprised Fony haven't increased the price of the covers too (apart from their homeland USA who are 'special'). . . . . or have they? The console is the worst thing I've ever seen. .
