According to Dallas Morning News , the case will now resume and will possibly go to trial. The alleged incident took place on September 16 2018 at the AT&T Stadium - home of the Dallas Cowboys and the day they hosted the New York Giants in the NFL. It is alleged Jones, who is 80 years old, kissed a woman 'on the mouth and forcibly grabbed her without her consent. ' At the time, Jones denied the accusations and said they were 'malicious and hurtful'. As yet, there is no response from him to the case being revived. A sexual assault lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been revived Jones has been married to his wife Eugenia (pictured together in 2022) since 1963 In the lawsuit, the woman says the incident caused her 'severe emotional distress,' 'psychological pain and suffering' and medical expenses. She alleges the incident occurred in the Tom Landry Room in the stadium. The lawsuit was thrown out because the judge at the time said the accuser failed to comply with a special exemptions order. Now, it has been revived because the appellate court said she 'made a good faith attempt to amend her pleadings in response to the court’s special exceptions order'. The woman is represented by her attorney Thomas Daniel Bowers, who told the Dallas Morning news on Tuesday: 'We always knew we were going to win because the law was on our side. 'A victim’s finally going to get her day in court and that’s very important. ' Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys since 1989. He bought the franchise for $150million and is worth an estimated $13. 6billion. They have won the Super Bowl three times under his ownership - in 1993, 1994 and 1996. Jones is also currently in a different legal battle, were a judge has ordered him to take a paternity test to find out if he is the biological father of a 26-year-old woman. Jones is worth an estimated $131. 6billion and bought the Cowboys for $150m back in 1989 A Texas judge issued the order for genetic testing in December in a paternity case brought by Alexandra Davis, who previously alleged in a separate lawsuit she was conceived from a relationship Jones had with her mother in the mid-1990s. In March last year, Davis sued Jones in Dallas County, asking a judge to void a legal agreement she said her mother, Cynthia Davis, reached with Jones two years after she was born. The 1998 settlement allegedly said that Jones would support them financially as long as they didn´t publicly say he was Alexandra's father - something the married owner of the Cowboys denied. Jones has been married to his wife Eugenia since 1963. The Dallas Cowboys have been contacted for comment on behalf of Jones.
