During the stint on the popular dating show, one of the biggest talking points about the new cast was the fact that Gemma is the 19-year-old daughter of England footballing legend Michael Owen. Since arriving back to the UK, the international dressage rider has bagged a six-figure deal with online retailer Pretty Little Thing, and it looks like the star could be heading back to the small screen.
According to reports, the rumoured programme will show viewers what it’s like to be related to a famous football star. A source shared: ‘Lime are developing the concept now and ITV have shown a real interest in it. Gemma is top of their casting wish list.
’ ‘Her dad Michael is one of England’s most famous footballing stars and given her huge popularity since she appeared on Love Island – she is the person they want signed up,’ the source added to The Sun.
